Sacred ValleyNot far from Cusco is the Sacred Valley of the Incas where the Vilcanota "Urubamba" River has carved out a gentle valley. See the ruined terraces of Pisaq and Ollantaytambo then float down the class 1-2 (beginner packrafter) Urubamba River and take either the train or car to Machu Picchu. The weather here is warmer than Cusco and elevation much lower.
